Ukraine has scaled up production of “Neptune” anti-ship missiles, – Ministry of Defense

Ukraine has scaled up the mass production of Neptune anti-ship cruise missiles. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are using them to attack Russian ships in the occupied Crimea.

This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov following a meeting with Ukrainian missile manufacturers.

He recalled that on April 13, 2022, the “Neptune” missile complex destroyed the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser “Moskva”. This became a historic moment and demonstrated the power of Ukraine’s national missile weapons.

Today, Ukraine is increasing the production of domestic missiles. The first 100 missiles have already been manufactured this year. The mass production of the R-360 “Neptune” cruise missiles with improvements to hit targets at longer distances has been successfully scaled up, the minister noted.

New drone missiles are also being developed, in particular the Palanytsia, which is an example of successful cooperation between the state and the private sector.

USM previously reported that Romania plans to develop “Neptune” anti-ship missiles together with Ukraine.
