Port of Chornomorsk signed an agreement with the Baltic port of Ventspils


The partnership between the Ukrainian and Latvian ports is aimed at developing sustainable logistics, exchanging experience and strengthening Ukraine’s ties with EU markets.

On Thursday, April 18, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in the Latvian city of Ventspils between the Ventspils Free Port Authority and the Ukrainian State Enterprise “Sea Trade Port “Chornomorsk”. This is stated on the Ventspils Port website.

The memorandum provides for the development of partnership relations in the field of logistics, transportation, cargo safety, the implementation of sustainable technologies, personnel training, as well as participation in international projects. The parties agreed to regular exchange of information and joint planning of promising initiatives.

The agreement will be valid for four years from the date of signing with the possibility of its extension by mutual consent.

As USM wrote, the Chornomorsk-Varna ferry crossing has previously partially resumed operation.
