Russia exports up to 60,000 tons of Ukrainian coal from the port of Mariupol every month

The occupied port of Mariupol continues to be used by Russia for the systematic export of Ukrainian minerals, including coal.
The occupied port of Mariupol has reached an average of five ships with coal every two weeks. This was stated by the head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, Petro Andryuschenko.
This means that from 40 to 60 thousand tons of Ukrainian coal are exported from Mariupol every month.
At the same time, Andryuschenko noted that the situation with kaolin, a clay used in the production of ceramics and paper, remains unclear. The Russian occupiers continue to import kaolin into the port and store it at the piers, but the export of this resource has currently been stopped. The reasons for this decision are currently unknown.
“The only question that remains unanswered is why the Russians stopped the export of kaolin, despite the fact that they continue to systematically import it into the port and the mountain on the pier is growing,” Andryuschenko writes.
Currently, the Russians are exporting only coal, which probably comes from the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region. USM previously reported that Russia had stolen over 120,000 tons of coking coal from Ukrainian subsoil in Mariupol.
