“This is a state-owned company that manages three main ports — Stockholm, Kappelsher, Nynashamn. More than 11 million tons of cargo and about 10 million passengers pass through them every year. This is one of the most modern and environmentally friendly port complexes in Europe,” said Vitaliy Koval.
At the meeting with company representatives, they discussed, in particular, their experience in digitalization of logistics and cargo flow management. As well as sustainable development standards — from electrified berths to waste sorting and reducing CO₂ emissions.
Separately, they discussed the possibilities of using Swedish infrastructure for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Baltic Sea and cooperation in the reconstruction of Ukrainian ports and the development of multimodal transportation.
“In the conditions of war, export by sea has become one of the key ones for Ukraine. Therefore, Sweden’s experience is important for the modernization of our port infrastructure. For the Ukrainian agricultural sector, stable logistics equals stable exports and food security not only for Europe, but also for the world,” the minister emphasized.
We will remind you that as of May 12, 2025, the Ukrainian maritime corridor allowed the transport of 120 million tons of cargo. Almost 4,600 vessels left the ports of Ukraine, among all cargoes, 76 million tons were agricultural products.
