The Ministry of Agrarian Policy may be merged with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Environment

According to the preliminary configuration, the new ministry will be headed by Svyridenko’s deputy, Oleksiy Sobolev. The final decision has not yet been made.
The authorities are considering the option of merging three ministries — economy, agrarian policy and environmental protection — into one large economic department. This was reported by the Ukrainian News Agency, citing government sources.
It is expected that a new government structure may be formed in the near future, and it will be headed by Yulia Svyridenko. Instead, the newly created united ministry is to be headed by her current first deputy at the Ministry of Economy, Oleksiy Sobolev.
The configuration of the future mega-ministry has not yet been finally determined. Other options were also voiced during the discussion — in particular, the return of the agrarian bloc to the structure of the Ministry of Economy or the unification of only the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Environment. At the same time, the scenario of a tripartite unification is currently considered “intermediate”.
“The option of unifying the three ministries is indeed being considered now, it is intermediate. But it’s hard to call it final, it could still be overturned before the vote,” one of the Latifundist sources noted.
