German prosecutors refuse to comment on arrest warrants for Ukrainians over Nord Stream sabotage

The German prosecutor’s office has refused to comment on the issue of arrest warrants for Ukrainians over the Nord Stream sabotage.

Radio Liberty received this response to its request.

“We do not comment on media reports,” said Ines Peterson, a spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General. She added that in general, the German Prosecutor General’s office provides information on executed arrest warrants, but does not comment on warrants that are still in force.

Recall that earlier in Germany, arrest warrants were issued for six Ukrainians. They are suspected of an attack on the Nord Stream gas pipeline in 2022.

According to the investigation, seven people were involved in the operation in 2022. To get to the place where the explosives were planned to be planted, they used the yacht Andromeda. In total, there were four divers on board the vessel, the person responsible for the explosives, the captain, and the arrested Serhiy K.
