For the first time in NATO history, the Ukrainian Navy led international naval exercises

The Ukrainian Navy led and carried out planning, coordination and control of the forces of the hypothetical enemy during the REPMUS/Dynamic Messenger 25 exercises.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Navy.

The REPMUS/Dynamic Messenger 25 exercises were held in Portugal in September – coordination of different types of platforms was practiced, in particular, the Ukrainian DELTA combat system became the basis for the control of the joint command of the participating countries.

The operational staff of the Ukrainian Navy organized joint work on planning and control of the forces of the hypothetical enemy from Ukraine and partner countries that participated in training operations as part of the OPFOR. The joint exercises with the participation of the Ukrainian Navy were successful.

“Taking into account the experience of real combat operations, our team maximally applied its knowledge to demonstrate effective modern approaches to naval warfare.

This step confirms the trust of our partners and strengthens the role of Ukraine in the global security system. We prove that the Ukrainian Navy is able to act effectively in the international arena, quickly respond to any threats and help partners prepare for possible confrontations at sea,” said the commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Neizhpapa.

Earlier, USM reported that the Ukrainian Navy hit the communications hub of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.
