Ukrainian wheat exports slow down in November

The main market for Ukrainian grain this month has become Indonesia.

Ukrainian wheat supplies are losing momentum this month. ASAP Agri reports.

During the period of November 1–24, farmers exported 968 thousand tons. November volumes will not reach the level of October (1.5 million tons) and may be lower than the figure for the same month in 2024 (1.3 million tons).

Indonesia became the main export destination this month, receiving 259 thousand tons of wheat – more than in October (201 thousand tons). Algeria ranks second with 183 thousand tons compared to 296 thousand tons a month earlier, and Egypt dropped to third position: only 134 thousand tons compared to 438 thousand tons in October.

Analysts attribute the decline in supplies to Egypt to payment delays in October, which affected demand in November.

According to Atria Brokers broker Daria Marchenko, the change in the export structure demonstrates a shift in the focus of Ukrainian wheat trade to Asian markets, while traditional destinations in North Africa are reducing purchases.

USM previously wrote that Ukraine will not limit wheat exports in the 2025/26 MY.
