Searches were conducted in the port of Odesa due to the export of soybeans using forged documents

An agrotrader tried to illegally export soybeans through the Odesa port to Turkey and Romania. As a result, the state received 14.5 million UAH less in taxes.
This was reported by the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Odesa region.
The enterprise tried to illegally export soybeans to Turkey and Romania, using forged documents on the origin of agricultural products. Thus, the defendants created the appearance of legal transactions.
“The export of products with unconfirmed origin was planned to be carried out through supply chains with fictitious enterprises and individual entrepreneurs. As a result of these actions, the state received 14.5 million UAH less in taxes,” said BEB detectives.
During searches in the Odesa port and at grain terminals in the Chernivtsi region, more than 6 thousand tons of soybeans loaded onto a ship and 1.6 thousand tons of soybeans in 32 railway cars were seized. The value of the seized products amounted to over 103 million UAH.
Currently, the company has voluntarily compensated for the losses, the funds have already been transferred to the budget.
It should be noted that a pre-trial investigation under Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional tax evasion) is currently underway. The full range of persons involved in the illegal activity is being established.
