In December, over 1.5 million tons of grain were exported by rail


Over the 23 days of December, 1.57 million tons of grain were transported for export by rail — 20% less than the same period last year.

This was reported by Valeryi Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, writes Rail.insider.

Thus, over December 23, the grain load amounted to over 1.58 million tons — 18% less than in the corresponding period last year, and 22% less than in November.

The grain cargo transportation indicator decreased by 22% — to 1.72 million tons.

The volume of grain exports also decreased — to 1.57 million tons. This is 19% less than in November, and 20% less than in December 2024.

The share of grain transportation to sea ports was 89%, and to western border crossings — 11%.
