Ukraine has begun installing interceptor drones on Magura naval drones

Ukraine has begun installing interceptor drones on Magura unmanned boats in response to Russia’s new tactics.
This was reported by hromadske with reference to the Economist.
This tactic was first tested in the Black Sea near Odessa. It was a response to the new tactics of the Russians, who attack Ukraine from the sea, so that their drones would be more difficult to detect.
Naval drones operate in groups, combining their radar coverage. When the radars detect a drone, a hatch opens on the boat, from which the interceptor is launched. Operators control the drones remotely, using a video signal via the Starlink satellite network.
Oleg Roginsky, CEO of Uforce, which produces Magura boats, said that against the backdrop of the war in the Middle East, several Gulf countries have become interested in Ukrainian naval drones with interceptor drones.
“As soon as we get the political green light, you will see tons of our boats being loaded onto cargo planes for the Middle East,” he commented.
Earlier, USM reported that Iran had used a surface drone for the first time to attack a civilian tanker.
