UAVs caused a fire in the port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea

Russia has reported a massive drone attack on the port of Primorsk, which caused a fire.

As a result of a night-time drone attack on March 23, a fuel tank was damaged in the port of Primorsk, which caused a fire, the Splash 24/7reports.

The port of Primorsk is home to a marine oil loading port owned by Transneft. The port’s oil loading capacity on the Baltic Sea is about 1 million barrels of oil per day and about 300,000 barrels of diesel per day. This makes it a key transshipment point for Russia’s main Urals grade and low-sulfur Euro-5 diesel.

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that a total of 283 drones were allegedly destroyed and intercepted over Russian regions on Monday night.

As previously reported by USM, on March 13, it became known that Ukrainian drones set fire to two tankers in the port of Primorsk. The drone attack led to the first halt in oil shipments at the port of Primorsk in northwestern Russia.
