Russian bulk carrier with stolen Ukrainian grain spotted in Libya

Before calling at the port of Benghazi (Libya), the Russian bulk carrier Grumant was denied a call at the ports of Turkey.
This was reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Peacemaker Center.
As the journalist notes, the bulk carrier Grumant (IMO:9385879) under the Russian flag called at the occupied Feodosia two months ago for loading.
After that, around March, the bulk carrier stood still for three weeks, but was never accepted at the Turkish port of Izmir. After that, the ship allegedly went to Morocco, turned off its AIS, and now found itself in Libya.
“Although the ship will most likely be unloaded, this is already good for us because of the ship’s delay, the disruption of contracts, losses, and also the position shown by Turkey,” Kateryna Yaresko noted.
USM previously reported that a Russian ship carrying stolen Ukrainian grain was not accepted at a Turkish port.
