The Kernel export terminal in Chornomorsk has stopped operating due to Russian attacks

As a result of the shelling, the company lost about 45 thousand tons of wheat and 9 thousand tons of sunflower oil.
The company reported this to USM.
The port of Chornomorsk was subjected to massive attacks on the night of July 11 and 12. As a result of the shelling, Kernel’s port assets suffered significant damage.
In particular, cargo loading and unloading equipment, terminal infrastructure, and power lines were damaged. Grain silos and sunflower oil tanks were also destroyed and damaged. As a result of the attacks, about 45 thousand tons of wheat and 9 thousand tons of sunflower oil were blocked, lost, or damaged. There were no injuries among the company’s employees.
Currently, Kernel is conducting a technical assessment of the damage, the volume of lost cargo, and the necessary costs for restoration. The timing of the restoration of the terminals will be determined after the consequences of the attacks are eliminated and an engineering audit is conducted.
The company also stressed that Russian attacks on port infrastructure pose a threat to international shipping. During the shelling, foreign ships, including those under the Chinese flag, were loading in the port.
Earlier, it was reported that the Russians attacked the port infrastructure of the Odesa region: a foreign ship caught fire, three sailors died.
