Sheskharis Terminal in Novorossiysk Port Suspends Operations After Drone Attack

One of the largest oil terminals in Russia, Sheskharis, has suspended oil loading after a drone attack.

Reuters reports this, citing sources.

Sheskharis usually loads 700,000 barrels of oil per day. It is the main export point for Russian oil on the Black Sea. The suspension of its operation will increase the load on Russian infrastructure, which has already been the target of attacks more than once.

According to sources, the extent of damage to the port has not yet been assessed. A previous attack on the terminal, which took place in early March, led to the suspension of loading for five days.

As a reminder, on the night of April 6, numerous explosions were heard in Novorossiysk, Russia. The target of the drones was the Sheskharis oil terminal.
