GOL launches new infrastructure project on the EU border: details

The international logistics group GOL considers the project not only as a warehouse property, but as an infrastructure hub for managing commodity flows between Ukraine and the EU.

This was reported by USM in the company’s press service.

On Monday, June 1, GOL announced the launch of a partner infrastructure project – the construction of a class A+ logistics complex in the village of Solomonovo in Transcarpathia, near the borders of Hungary and Slovakia.

The complex will be focused on logistics, distribution, e-commerce, 3PL/4PL services, as well as light manufacturing and packaging.

GOL notes that the key advantage of the project will be its location near major transport hubs:

• 2 km to the border with Hungary;

• 2.9 km to the border with Slovakia;

• 2.3 km to the Chop-Lisky terminal, where the European and Ukrainian railways meet;

• direct access to the M 06 and E 50 highways.

The site area is 3.6 hectares, the area of the complex will exceed 13,500 m². The project includes a 10-meter-high warehouse, 16 dock gates, infrastructure for freight transport and the possibility of further expansion. The commissioning of the first section is scheduled for 2026, the launch of the second – in 2027.

In particular, the company places special emphasis on attracting long-term partners to the project. The complex is considered as a platform for strategic cooperation with 3PL/4PL operators, traders, retailers and distributors, manufacturing companies, the agricultural sector, the pharmaceutical business and other participants in international supply chains.
