Ukrzaliznytsia has increased grain transportation by almost 18% since the beginning of the year

JSC Ukrzaliznytsia increased the transportation of grain cargo by almost 18% in the first six months of 2026.
This was stated by the Deputy Director of the Commercial Department of UZ Valeriy Tkachev during an online meeting on July 2, Elevatorist reports.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, Ukrzaliznytsia has transported 17.36 million tons of grain cargo – this is 17.8% more than in the same period last year.
In January-June, 15.68 million tons of grain were transported by rail in export traffic – this is 18.9% more than in the same period of 2025.
According to operational data, in June, the average daily load of grain on the Ukrzaliznytsia network reached 85.4 thousand tons. This is 2.3 times higher than the indicator for the corresponding month last year.
In total, 2.82 million tons of grain were transported by rail in June, 41.1% more than in June 2025. Of this volume, 2.53 million tons were exported, which is 37.7% higher than the corresponding period last year.
Earlier, USM reported that metallurgists urged the government to abandon the averaging of UZ tariffs to the ports of Great Odesa.
