Maersk launches temporary rail service between Ukrainian terminals and Constanta

The company is introducing a temporary rail connection for import and export transportation against the background of the situation in the ports of the Odesa region.

Container operator Maersk is introducing a temporary rail service between the Romanian port of Constanta and Ukrainian terminals in import and export traffic. The company announced this in an appeal to customers.

Maersk explained that the decision is related to the current situation in the ports of the Odesa region. The new service will operate until October 1, 2026 inclusive or until the situation stabilizes.

The company also reported that the processing of the T1 transit declaration is included in the cost of transportation.

Maersk emphasized that the service is temporary in nature and is designed to ensure the continuity of logistics chains in conditions of restrictions on the operation of seaports.
