Ukraine under-exported rapeseed in October due to logistics problems

In October, Ukraine exported 378 thousand tons of rapeseed, slightly falling short of the planned volumes due to logistical difficulties.

This was reported by analysts of the agricultural cooperative PUSK, established within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council.

According to their data, problems with the transportation of corn also affected the shipment of rapeseed. Some of the wagons that were supposed to arrive for loading under contracts with logistics booked back in August-September were not submitted.

PUSK expects that some of these volumes will be shipped in November. At the same time, the shortage of traction and delays at the borders continue to complicate exports.

Prices on the domestic market remain relatively stable. In Danube ports, the purchase price of rapeseed is 21.5–22 thousand UAH per ton, while processing enterprises offer about 20 thousand UAH per ton.

On the western border, purchase prices are formed at the level of €470–480 per ton. Buyers are mainly considering rail deliveries via Chop and Batyevo for January–March 2027.

The PUSK does not expect significant price fluctuations in the near future, although they allow for minor adjustments depending on the situation on the European stock market.
