Sunflower has droped in price in Ukrainian ports


Wheat, corn and barley increased in price in Ukrainian ports after the weekend. But the cost of oilseeds has decreased.

So, the price of soybeans in the port of Mykolaiv decreased by USD 2.23/ton – up to USD 605.95/ton CPT, in the ports of the Odesa region – by USD 1.78/ton, to USD 632.46/ton CPT, follows from the data on the platform Zernotorg.ua.

But the cost of oilseeds, on the contrary, has decreased. So, in the port of Mykolaiv, the price of soybeans decreased by USD 2.23/ton to USD 606.44/ton, and in the ports of the Odesa region – by USD 1.78/ton to USD 633.59/ton. Also, the cost of sunflower in the ports of the Odesa region decreased to USD 698.73/ton.

In October, USM reported that export quotations for Ukrainian sunflower oil rose to a 4-month high, gaining nearly $30 per ton in one day. The rise in prices occurred against the backdrop of a rapid rise in prices for other types of vegetable oils.
