Seven vessels with agricultural products left the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi


As part of the Istanbul Agreements, on October 11, 7 ships with agricultural products left the ports of Great Odesa.

The ships carry 177.5 thousand tons of agricultural products for the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe, the Ministry of Infrastructure reports.

In particular, the bulk carrier Sea Pearl J, which will deliver 30,000 tons of wheat to Tunisia, left the port of Chornomorsk. Bulk carriers Hazar S, Ince Evrenye, Milina, and Magnum Power also left the port.

The ship Lucky Trader departed from the port of Odesa, and Erdek from the port of Pivdennyi.

In total, 7 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products were exported from the three ports as part of the “grain initiative”. 316 ships left for the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa.

We will remind, on October 9,  13 vessels left the port ships left the ports of Great Odesa. A total of 230.7 thousand tons of export agricultural products were carried on 13 ships.

In the last few weeks, the number of ships in caravans heading from the ports of Great Odesa along the “grain corridor” has significantly increased. Ukraine plans to make room in the elevators for the grain of the new crop. Also, the term of validity of the Istanbul Agreements expires on November 18-19, and the further fate of the agreements is unknown, so Ukraine aims to send as much production as possible in the remaining time.

At the same time, with the number of shipments, the queues of ships in Istanbul heading to and from Ukrainian ports are growing. Since mid-September, the waiting time for inspection of vessels has increased to 10-15 days. For comparison, in the first six days of the Istanbul Agreements, ships waited only 5-6 days for inspections.
