Reznikov: It is fundamental for Ukraine that the “Grain Agreement” does not end
Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov spoke about the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
“The key value is to feed people who live in Africa, Asia, who may be hungry. And the question of 60 days or 90 is a question of the “bargaining” process at the negotiating table. Therefore, it seems to me that it is fundamental that the grain agreement does not end,” said Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov during a briefing in Odesa.
According to him, russia has already tried several times to provoke the grain agreement. These provocations did not succeed, because there is a principled position of both the UN Secretary General and Turkish President Erdogan, who are partners of Ukraine in this grain agreement.
USM previously reported that russian federation agreed to extend the Black Sea Grain Agreement for only 60 days. Earlier, representatives of the terrorist country hinted that they could cancel their decision.
Instead, Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov notes that the Agreement on the Black Sea Grain Initiative provides for an extension for at least 120 days, so Russia’s position on extending the agreement for only 60 days contradicts the document signed by Turkey and the UN.
