A foreign ship was “hidden” in the port of Kerch (PHOTO)
On April 9, a vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau was discovered in the seaport of Kerch in Crimea.
On the stern of the vessel, the name and IMO identification numbers were covered with a tarpaulin, reports the correspondent of “Krym.Realii”.
A foreign vessel stands near the gas terminal of the Kerch sea fishing port. Earlier in February, journalists reported on a tanker that used improvised means to hide its data when entering the port of Kerch, which is closed to international shipping. However, then the data was completely hidden.
According to the correspondent, this time the port administration could use a larger tarpaulin to avoid possible identification of a foreign vessel.
We will remind you that since July 2014, Ukraine has officially stopped the operation of all ports of the Crimea annexed by russia. Crimean harbors are closed for international shipping.
However, foreign vessels turn off the automatic identification system (AIS) when entering Crimean ports.
