The Agency for Search and Asset Management, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Reconstruction have completed the operation to locate the arrested vessel.

ARMA  announced the successful resolution of the issue regarding the seized asset belonging to a Turkish company.

On October 30, ARMA held a working meeting on this issue. Later, the Agency, within its competence, urgently turned to the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

The arrested vessel was successfully moored in the Reni Seaport. This decision ensures both the preservation of the seized asset and compliance with the requirements of the law.

ARMA thanked all involved parties for “protecting citizens, in particular foreign citizens, whose lives and health were the subject of special attention during the resolution of this issue.”

We will remind you that in July, Ukraine detained a ship on the Danube because of ties with Russia. The vessel was on its way from Moldova when it was intercepted at the request of the Crimean prosecutor’s office. It illegally crossed the state border of Ukraine and transported cargo to and from Sevastopol, which is occupied by Russia.

In a few days, the SBU detained the captain. And at the end of September, the Prosecutor’s Office of Crimea informed about the suspicion of another captain of the same vessel.

Earlier, USM reported that ARMA had chosen a new manager for the arrested Russian funds.
