American coal will arrive to Ukraine in November

Ukrainian ports will soon accept five vessels with imported coal from the United States, totaling approximately 280,000 tonnes.
Ukraine is awaiting deliveries of thermal coal from the United States, as USM previously wrote about. The cargo will arrive in several consignments on different vessels.
According to the latest information, four vessels will come to Ukraine for DTEK and one more for the state-owned Centrenergo. This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to a source in the government. In particular, Centrenergo expects to receive 72 thousand tons of coal by November 14th, and then by November 25th – another 66 thousand tons.
It is noted that the state-owned company received funds for the purchase of thermal coal thanks to a large contract for the sale of electricity to Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Earlier it became known that Russia announced the termination of supplies of thermal coal to Ukraine. The reason: their country needs to “pay special attention” to meeting domestic demand for this type of coal.
