Another container line will be launched at the “Mostyska” terminal
The third platform at the “Mostyska” container terminal (Mostyska Dry Port) will provide additional operational capabilities and increase the terminal’s cargo turnover.
The director of the terminal, Dmytro Kobzar, told about this as part of the “4 Borders” Agrotour, writes Latifundist.
“Narrow and wide tracks will be laid here, so we will already have three container yards,” noted Dmytro Kobzar.
The RMG port crane will operate on the new container line, so cargo handling speed and storage volumes will increase.
According to Dmytro Kobzar, the new site is planned to be launched in the third quarter of 2024.
One of the key directions of the terminal’s work is the transshipment of agricultural products. The 4,000 ton storage elevator located at the terminal is a buffer for transshipment of agricultural products from train to train.
In June 2023, oil transshipment equipment was installed at the Mostyska container terminal. These are pumping stations that make it possible to transfer large volumes of bulk cargo from cars to railway tanks and from railway tanks for a 1520 mm gauge to tanks for a 1435 mm gauge.
Note.
The Mostysk Container Terminal is a dry port project located on the border of Ukraine and Poland (near the Shehyny-Medyka state crossing point).
In 2023, the company handled more than 72.4 thousand TEU of containerized cargo.
