By the end of the season, Ukraine should export about 55 million tons of agricultural products
In 2023/24, the Republic of Ukraine should export about 55 million tons of grain, oil and processed products.
This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi, writes Latifundist.
According to Solskyi, the volume of exports of agricultural products increased compared to August and September, especially after October 10, thanks to the work of the Ukrainian sea corridor, “so it’s millions of tons – these indicators are very good.”
He noted that last year from February 24 to August there were minimal export volumes.
“Last year we counted about 72 million tons of harvest, this year we expect 78-79 million tons — and that’s somewhere plus or minus 10%. It is obvious that our domestic consumption has not changed much – approximately 7 million tons. If in absolute numbers, this means that this year we need to export at least 55 million tons from the new harvest – these are grains, as well as oilseeds processed into oil, but in general it is at least 55 million tons,” said Solskyi.
