Court arrests ship that Russians stole from Kherson port

Kherson City Court has arrested the ship “Khrustalny”, which was hijacked by the Russians and is wanted.
In Kherson, the court granted the request of the police and the prosecutor’s office to arrest the passenger ship “Khrustalny”, writes Intentwith reference to the court’s decision.
It is known that the Russian military illegally seized the ship “Khrustalny” back in October 2022.
The case materials note that the ship belongs to the company “MD SHIPPING LTD” and is important material evidence in criminal proceedings under the article on violation of the laws and customs of war. In particular, it is about looting in the occupied territory.
The investigation established that the ship “Khrustalny” (built in 1968, 21 m long) was seized in Kherson near the pier on Prychalna Street, 1a. Currently, its whereabouts are unknown, so the vehicle was declared wanted.
The seizure was imposed to preserve the evidence and prevent its damage, sale or disappearance. The court prohibited any transactions with the vessel – its sale, transfer or re-registration.
