Due to the blockade of the border, Ukraine will lose almost UAH 8 billion
As a result of the blocking of border crossings by Polish protesters, the customs office is not fulfilling its work plan.
Blocking checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border can significantly harm Ukraine’s economy. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev.
If the border is not unblocked by the end of the month, Ukraine will lose UAH 7.7 billion in budget revenues.
As previously reported by USM, on February 20, Polish farmers plan to block all checkpoints on the border with Ukraine, as well as the entrances to railways and seaports.
The day before, in response to Polish farmers blocking the movement of trucks, Ukrainian carriers started a strike.
