Export through the port of Chornomorsk is being restored


At the same time, freight rates from the ports of Great Odesa in key directions have slightly decreased.

Over the past week, freight rates for the transportation of corn from the ports of Great Odesa have decreased. This is reported by Spike Brokers.

Thus, the freight for the transportation of grain by panamax from the deep-sea ports of Odesa to China and Vietnam decreased by $4 per ton. Deliveries to the east coast of Italy fell by $3 per ton. Vessel freight rates to Spain and Israel fell by $2 per ton.

We will remind that last year in the structure of export shipments by water transport, the share of the port of Chornomorsk was 36%, the ports of the Danube – 32%, the port of Odesa – 17%, and the port “Pivdenny” – 15%.

Market rates for transportation from the port of Chornomorsk were distributed as follows:

• to the Eastern coast of Italy — 29-30 dollars (30-35 thousand tons);

• in the direction of Spain — 30-32 dollars (30-35 thousand tons);

• in the direction of Vietnam — 52-54 dollars (60-65 thousand tons);

• in the direction of China — 54-56 dollars (60-65 thousand tons).

Market freight rates for transportation by river transport are:

• from Izmail to the port of Constanta (Romania) — 19-24 dollars (4.5-5 thousand tons);

• from Izmail in the direction of Spain — 35-37 dollars (30-35 thousand tons);

• from Reni to Israel — 33-35 dollars (30-35 thousand tons).
