Fishing vessel “Princess of Arctic” caught fire in Murmansk
A fire broke out on the russian fishing vessel ” Princess of Arctic ” in Murmansk.
On the ship, a cell near the hold and the engine room with an area of 3 square meters caught fire, rosZMI reports.
The fire occurred in the afternoon on January 4. The vessel was located at berth 22 of the fishing port. At the time of the fire, there were seven people on board.
Four fire-rescue units consisting of 28 specialists left to extinguish the fire. Nine units of equipment were used to extinguish the fire.
The fire was extinguished in four hours. There were no casualties — six sailors were able to evacuate the ship on their own, one was evacuated by rescuers. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
Recently, fires have been happening more and more often in russia. It will be recalled, that on December 30, the tanker “Arktika” was set on fire in the russian city of Kronstadt. The fire engulfed two cabins with an area of 10 square meters. Fires have given the 2nd degree of difficulty.
