Grain theft by sea: Israel says it will act in accordance with the law

The Israeli Foreign Ministry responded to Ukraine’s protest note regarding the Russian ship with stolen grain.

This was reported by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar on the social network X.

According to him, the Ukrainian side has not yet provided evidence substantiating the accusations and has not submitted a request for legal assistance.

“This issue will be considered. Israel is a state that adheres to the rule of law and has independent law enforcement agencies. All Israeli authorities will act in accordance with the law,” wrote Gideon Saar.

The day before, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybig announced the summoning of the Israeli ambassador to deliver a protest note. Earlier it became known that the port of Haifa received the second Russian ship with grain from the temporarily occupied territories.

Recall, the bulk carrier Panormitis transports more than 25 thousand tons of grain, part of which is documented with deliveries from occupied Berdyansk.
