Kiper: More grain is exported through the ports of the Odesa region than before the war

More than 5 thousand vessels have passed through the maritime corridor to the ports of the Odesa region since August 2024.
The volume of income from the region’s port infrastructure amounted to 60% of the all-Ukrainian economy, said the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper.
According to him, despite the shelling of the port infrastructure, it was possible to increase the volume of grain for export.
“We have increased the volumes in the grain position even compared to pre-war indicators. And we are doing this really “from under the wheels”. Something is being restored, something is being repaired, we are changing approaches,” the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration noted.
In particular, he added that the number of foreign companies cooperating with the ports of the Odessa region has increased.
As USM previously reported, Ukrainian exporters have mastered new exotic markets thanks to the maritime corridor.
