Marine supplies of bitumen to Ukraine increased by 7 times


In January – September 2021, 210 thousand tons of bitumen were delivered to Ukraine by sea.

This is seven times more than in the same period in 2020 (then 32 thousand tons were imported), enkorr reports.

Bitumen, which is actively used, in particular, in road construction, was imported from the ports of Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain. The main suppliers were Alliance Energo Trade and Cantarell Ukraine.

In total, sea supplies accounted for 21% of bitumen imports to Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that in 2022, tankers with bitumen will begin to accept the “Kherson oil transshipment complex” on the Dnipro.
