MIU will host four concession tenders in 2022
The Ministry of Infrastructure plans to commission four facilities in the ports on concession next year.
In particular, in 2022, MIU will transfer the property of state stevedoring companies in the ports of Berdyansk, Izmail, Odesa and Chornomorsk to concession. Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yurii Vaskov said this during the Infrastructure Day of the European Business Association, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, two more tenders for concessions in the port of Chornomorsk can be carried out in December 2021. Vaskov noted that berths №7, №8 and №9 of the port of Chornomorsk will soon be leased for 49 years.
“This will be the first pilot project for the lease of berths, which will also be reconstructed at the expense of the lessee. If this is effective for the state and the lessee, we will begin to spread the practice of leasing berths in all seaports,” said the Deputy Minister.
He also added that the Ministry of Infrastructure has already determined the ways of commercializing all state stevedores in Ukraine, except for the port of Yuzhny. In particular, three more ports will be leased out through the State Property Fund.
