The National Agency for Corruption Prevention of assessed the Shipping Administration’s fight against corruption.
In July, National Agency for Corruption Prevention began evaluating the effectiveness of the work of anti-corruption commissioners, said Yevgenii Ignatenko, head of the Shipping Administration.
In the process of analysis, all areas of activity for the previous year were covered. According to the results of the evaluation of work efficiency, the Shipping Administration completed 89% of the tasks and received the highest rating from the Agency.
The work of the anti-corruption commissioner was evaluated in relation to the performance of 27 main tasks, including:
• development and relevance of documents that define internal policies aimed at effective prevention and detection of corruption;
• provision of methodical and consulting assistance to employees;
• monitoring of compliance with anti-corruption legislation;
• organization of work on assessment of corruption risks in the activities of the relevant body, etc.
A year ago, the Anti-corruption program of the Shipping Administration for 2023-2025 was approved, which implements real mechanisms for eliminating and minimizing corruption risks in the field of sea and river transport.
At this time, according to Ignatenko, the administration has completed almost 70% of anti-corruption measures.
