Oil spilled from the starboard side of the ship Excalibur into the waters of the Sukhyi Liman in Chornomorsk, the State Inspectorate reported.
Specialists of the State Inspectorate of the South-Western District conducted an examination and took samples for laboratory research.
According to the protocol for measuring the indicators of the composition and properties of water samples, the experts established a 70-fold increase in the content of oil products in the water.
The area of contamination is 172.5 thousand square meters. m. Currently, the State Environmental Inspection is calculating the damage caused to the environment.
