Over 2 million tons of Ukrainian products were exported to Italy in 8 months

In 8 months of 2024, 2,817.5 thousand tons of Ukrainian food and agricultural products were exported from Ukraine to Italy.
This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitalii Koval.
The minister held talks with his Italian colleague Francesco Lollobrigida during a working visit to Italy.
“Italy is one of our key partners. In 8 months of 2024, 2,817.5 thousand tons of Ukrainian food products and agricultural products worth $766.3 million were already exported to Italy,” noted Vitaliy Koval.
According to him, an important priority is to destroy negative myths about Ukrainian exports.
“For example, the misinformation that our products flood the European markets and therefore there is no place for the products of their producers,” the minister of agricultural policy emphasized.
It should be noted that, in particular, Italy supports the “Grain From Ukraine” food initiative. The parties also discussed cooperation in the agricultural sector.
As previously reported by USM, in September seaports of Ukraine processed 7 million tons of cargo. Freight turnover almost doubled the indicators of the same period last year.
