Situation report for the morning of March 13th, – General Staff

This is the eighteenth day of Ukraine’s confrontation with the military aggression of the Russian Federation.

The state, position and nature of the defense actions – without significant changes.

The enemy continues to use civilian infrastructure for military purposes.

In violation of the requirements of International Humanitarian Law, they continue to deploy units and equipment at high-risk facilities, shelling civilians, conduct illegal checks of personal belongings and searches among local residents, and change into civilian clothes and the uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The moral and psychological state of enemy troops continues to deteriorate, with desertions and refusals to obey orders on the rise.

On the territory of the Republic of Belarus in the medical institutions of the south-eastern region, a large number of servicemen wounded during the hostilities in the territory of Ukraine are being treated. There are not enough blood supplies for surgical operations. The reserves accumulated for the citizens of Belarus are being used – about 2/3 of the reserve has been redirected to the needs of the Russian military.

Due to losses, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are forming new units. In particular, the enemy command plans to recruit about 1,500 people from the 40th Separate Marine Brigade (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Pacific Fleet).

Over the previous day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two enemy helicopters, two fighter jets (one of which was a Su-34) and two UAVs.

As of the night of March 13th, the situation by region was as follows:

The enemy is trying to restore combat readiness, regroup troops and prepare for the continuation of the offensive in the Polesia, Seversk, Slobozhansk, Donetsk, Tauride and Yuzhnobugsky directions.

The enemy did not reach the goal of the operation on any of the directions. The nature of the actions testifies to the uncertainty of the military authorities of the Russian Federation in matters of strategic tasks.

In the Volyn direction, the enemy did not carry out offensive operations.

No active offensive operations of the enemy were recorded in the Polesia direction. Measures are being taken to restore combat readiness and regroup troops. The enemy is trying to conduct reconnaissance and clarify the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and possible ways of attack. The occupiers continue to establish logistics systems by creating repair bases on the territory of Belarus.

In the Seversk direction, the enemy concentrated his efforts on improving the operational formation of troops and the grouping’s logistical support system.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy carried out offensive operations in the Izyum region, trying to advance in the direction of Slaviansk. After the losses received in the Kharkov region, he brought one of the batеalion tactical groups of the 6th combined arms army to the territory of the Russian Federation (Belgorod region) to restore combat capability. At the same time, he strengthened the grouping in the indicated direction by introducing units from the Northern Fleet into the operation.

In the Donetsk and Tauride directions, the enemy carries out assault operations and fire raids. Does not leave attempts to assault Mariupol. The invaders are trying to prepare reserves and go on the offensive against Severodonetsk, Vuhledar and Zaporizhzhia.

The enemy has little success in the Volnovakha direction – it has captured the eastern environs and is trying to move further.

The enemy does not abandon attempts to carry out an offensive on Kryvyi Rih. Did not achieve success. Searches for weaknesses in the defense of the Ukrainian defenders. In order to build up efforts, he introduces reserves from the Airborne Forces into the operation. In some directions, it is trying to keep the previously occupied lines.
