Slovakia canceled restrictions on grain imports from Ukraine

The Slovak carrier ZSSK Cargo canceled the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain.

Ukrainian transporters received a letter from ZSSK regarding the cancellation of all restrictions on the import/transit of grain to Slovakia. Rail.insider writes about this with reference to the deputy director of the department of commercial work of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Valery Tkachev.

Currently, there is no conventional ban on grain transportation to Slovakia on the website of Ukrzaliznytsia. 100 wagons with grain are going to both Slovak border crossings: 90 to the junction Chop-Cierna nad Tisou, another 10 to Uzhhorod-Matevka.

“In total, about 21.83 wagons with grain are transferred through Slovak crossings. Over the last week, the indicator increased by 3.16 wagons/day, or +66.93%,” Valery Tkachev emphasized.

As previously reported, Ukrzaliznytsia introduced a convention for transporting food to Slovakia.
