Spying on the ships of the Armed Forces: the SBU detained another Russian agent

Cyber specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed another informant of the special services of the Russian Federation in the Mykolaiv region, who was collecting intelligence about the Defense Forces near the Black Sea.
The collaborator tried to collect information about ships near Mykolaiv seaport. This was reported in the press service of the SBU.
Among the priority targets of the enemy were the directions of movement of the Ukrainian fleet by sea and river routes. The invaders needed intelligence to prepare attacks on the front-line part of southern Ukraine.
SBU officers neutralized the threat in time. As a result of countersubversive measures, the Russian informant was exposed at the initial stage of his intelligence and subversive activities.
According to the investigation, the guide of the invaders turned out to be a local resident whom the aggressor remotely engaged in cooperation at the beginning of this year. After completing the enemy tasks, the figure reported to the Russian coordinator in the messenger.
The perpetrator is now in custody. He faces 12 years in prison.
Earlier, law enforcement officers detained another collaborator, who installed cameras near Mykolaiv port to spy on ships.
At the beginning of the year, the SBU arrested the owner of an agricultural holding, which supplies food products for farmers on the left bank of the Kherson Region.
