Ukraine is considering the possibility of importing liquefied natural gas from the Klaipeda LNG terminal after the start of operation of the Lithuanian-Polish gas pipeline GIPL (Gas Interconnection Poland-Lithuania).
Today, December 17th, SE “CSP Yuzhny” has accepted the third vessel with coal from the USA for Centrenergo.
Two Panamax-class bulk carriers with imported coal will be in Ukraine today: one vessel is already moored, the second will enter the port tonight.
Ukraine should continue to reduce its import dependence on oil products from the Russian Federation. For this, the state should support domestic producers, as well as create favorable conditions for imports and exports, experts say.
Two vessels with coal are already unloading, and six more will come to Ukraine by the end of December.
For 11 months, import supplies of road bitumen to the Ukrainian market amounted to 1.046 million tons – of which 267 thousand tons were delivered by sea.
DTEK Energo expects the arrival of another bulk carrier with coal from November 29th to December 5th.
The second gas carrier in November with LPG goes to Mykolaiv port.
Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that coal from Kazakhstan will be delivered to Ukraine by sea, because the railway route is now blocked.
