“Exactly one year ago, the Armed Forces Navy rewrote centuries of history. The same “russian warship” – the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet of russian federation, the missile cruiser “Moskva”, was hit by a well-aimed strike of the Ukrainian Neptune missiles, which sank the next day, – wrote the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov.
Before this, the last time russia lost its flagship was more than a century ago.
According to him, this was the last day of dominance of the russian fleet in the Black Sea. After that, the partners handed over Harpoon missiles to Ukraine.
“As soon as the Harpoon missiles were received, the team of Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa successfully used them as well. As a result, this led to the escape of the Russian occupiers from Zmiinyi Island, which they called a “gesture of goodwill,” Reznikov notes.
In turn, the release of Zmiinyi allowed the opening of the “grain corridor”.
“If “Moskva” had not been destroyed, it would have been impossible to achieve this result. As a result, the russian fleet is forced to hide to the south and east of the Crimea. The Kremlin’s dreams of landing on Odesa are a thing of the past. Now the russians can only cowardly fire at civilians from the air,” concluded the Minister of Defense.
He also added that after our victory, “Moskva” will become one of the most popular locations for divers.

On this day, April 13, the crew of the russian cruiser “Moskva” planned to take advantage of the weather conditions. They swam 120 kilometers to the Ukrainian coast, which was useful to the Ukrainian defenders.
