The Bilhorod-Dnister port “will definitely be privatized,” says the head of the State Property Fund

The head of the State Property Fund promised that the Bilhorod-Dnister Port will definitely be privatized.
Despite 10 unsuccessful auctions, the Bilhorod-Dnister port “will definitely be privatized.” This was stated by the head of the State Property Fund Vitaliyi Koval at Grain Ukraine 2024.
“The main task today is not just to sell square meters or opportunities. The main task is to restart growth points where private business can generate something better than the state form of governance. Bilhorod-Dnister Port is the port that will definitely be privatized, we will not keep it,” said the head of the State Property Fund.
Koval noted that the Fund wants to maximize the price of the object thanks to ship calls. However, ship calls to the port depend not only on the State Property Fund, but also on security factors, which are currently being worked on.
