The Cabinet of Ministers changes the grain export rules

The new procedure for the export of agro-industrial products is aimed at combating the non-return of foreign exchange earnings to Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to change the rules for the export of agricultural products. According to the authors of the resolution, the decision will involve the fight against the shadow market. This was reported in the Ukrainian Grain Association.

According to the new rules, exporters of agricultural products will need to be registered in the State Agrarian Register (DAR). Verification in the DAR will take place in the presence of a certificate of the taxpayer as of February 23, 2022 and now.

Also, companies should not have an overdue return of foreign exchange earnings – otherwise the exporter will have to obtain a license to export agricultural products.

At the same time, the VAT refund period for exporters was reduced from 180 to 90 days. In addition, the National Bank will prohibit closing accounts until currency controls are lifted.
