Oleksiy Neizhpapa met with his Latvian counterpart to discuss further cooperation between the naval forces of the two countries.

The Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Neizhpapa held a meeting with the Commander of the Navy of the Republic of Latvia, Rear Admiral Maris Polens. Neizhpapa reported this on Facebook.

During the conversation, they discussed in detail the current security situation in the region and the tactics of the Russian troops, which they can use not only in the Black Sea, but also in other maritime areas.

Oleksiy Neizhpapa shared with his Latvian counterpart information about the threats that Russia may pose at sea, in particular, regarding shipping and military operations.

In addition, they discussed issues of further cooperation between Ukraine and Latvia in the maritime sector, in particular, in the context of maintaining security on maritime communications and joint training of naval forces.

The meeting was an important step in the development of bilateral relations and increasing mutual readiness for joint actions in the face of growing threats at sea.
