The delegation of the Weimar Triangle visited the port of Odesa
High-ranking officials of the EU member states got acquainted with the work of the maritime corridor, and also saw the consequences of Russian attacks on the port.
As part of the official visit, a delegation of high-ranking representatives of the EU member states (Weimar Triangle) visited Odesa Port, USPA reports.
Among them, German Minister for European Affairs Anna Luhrmann and Polish Minister for European Union Affairs Adam Schlapka were present.
EU representatives got acquainted with the operation of Ukrainian ports during hostilities, as well as the functioning of the Ukrainian maritime corridor. In particular, the delegation saw the infrastructure of the Odesa port passenger complex destroyed as a result of Russian attacks.
The port officials thanked international partners for the support and substantial expert assistance provided by the EU countries to Ukraine.
It will be recalled that since the beginning of the war, 139 Russian missiles and UAVs attacks have been carried out on ports. 215 objects were damaged, 153 vehicles were destroyed, as well as 8 civilian vessels.
Reference: The Weimar Triangle is an informal international association of Germany, Poland and France. The association was founded in 1991. The union is named after the German city of Weimar, where the first meeting of the ministers of the three states took place.
