The details of the Russian missile attack on the Odesa port became known

At the time of the missile attack, there were two Latvian ships in the port of Odesa.

According to the official report, the ship under the flag of Antigua received the damage, writes Andriy Klymenko, head of the Monitoring Group of the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies.

Thus, on September 20, there were two vessels under such flags in the Odesa port, both belonging to the Latvian company Astramar Transport Ltd.

The first vessel – Golden Lion (IMO: 9363974) – was already in Odessa for the eighth time in a year.

At the same time, the second vessel – Silver Lion (IMO: 9281487) – was in Odessa for the first time. Previously, the dry cargo was in Izmail several times.

“The question is whether this is an accident (as, most likely, was the case with the missile attack on the Greek bulker Aya), or whether it is not an accident, since the successful operation of the Ukrainian sea corridor for a year could not help but annoy our enemies, to put it mildly.” Andriy Klymenko noted.

It will be recalled that on September 12, a Russian missile hit a commercial vessel that left the port of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region with a cargo of grain.

Later it became known that their target could be a tanker transporting fuel.
