The European Commission removed the duty on hot-rolled steel from Ukraine
The European Commission has completely canceled the anti-dumping duty on the import of hot-rolled coils from Ukraine.
“Currently, the anti-dumping duty in the amount of €60.5 per ton per hot-rolled coil has been completely abolished. This will improve the stability of the presence of Ukrainian rolled metal on the market of EU countries,” the press service of Ukrmetallurgprom reported.
At the same time, according to the decision of the European Commission, a similar duty on hot-rolled coils originating from Brazil, Iran and Russia remains in force.
The customs duty on Ukrainian imports was introduced in October 2017 for a period of five years, but in June 2022, in order to support the economy of Ukraine during the confrontation with Russian aggression, a decision was made to temporarily suspend the duty until June 5, 2023.
USM also reported that in September 2022 Great Britain suspended tariffs on the import of Ukrainian rolling stock.
