The flagship of the Ukrainian Navy Hetman Sahaidachny will be repaired by four enterprises

The Ministry of Defense and the State Enterprise “Experimental Design Center of Shipbuilding” signed a contract for the repair of the frigate Hetman Sahaidachny.
At the end of last year, the State Enterprise “Experimental Design Center of Shipbuilding”, which is part of the state concern “Ukroboronprom”, signed a state contract with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for the repair of the flagship of the Ukrainian Naval Forces – the frigate Hetman Sahaidachny.
According to the state contract, the work will be carried out in several stages: from a general assessment of the technical condition of the ship to its repair and modernization.
According to the Director and General Designer of the State Enterprise “Experimental Design Center of Shipbuilding” Vadim Borisov, no enterprise has performed such a volume and complexity for ships of this class during the entire period of Ukraine’s independence.
Therefore, for the successful implementation of the project, the Experimental Design Center for Shipbuilding cooperates with other Ukrainian enterprises. We are talking about the State Enterprise “Research and Production Complex of Gas Turbine Building “Zorya” -“Mashproekt”, the State Enterprise “Mykolaiv Shipyard” (both are parts of Ukroboronprom), as well as the shipbuilding and ship repair plant “Nibulon” and other enterprises.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has halved the cost of modernizing the frigate Hetman Sahaidachny. The cost of modernizing the frigate is UAH 208 million (USD 7.47 million), while previously it was planned at UAH 436 million (USD 16.6 million).
